The United States Own Ghost Army

Something great to go check out in Michigan! If you're in the Ann Arbor Michigan area and have a chance to go see this amazing exhibit it will be showing through April 30th, 2010. The exhibit focuses on a closely guarded secret of the United States "Ghost Army" or "The Army of Shadows". This was an invisible army that operated within the arts of obsucrity and illusion. The Pentagon apparently denied it's existence for over 50 years!

The University of Michgan's Harlan Hatcher Graduate Library is presenting a "Ghost Army" exhibit through April 30, 2010. You'll see photographs, paintings, and drawings among other great stuff.

Critical Thinking?

This is an exerpt from my Critical Thinking talk that I give. After a short series of demonstrations the audience is asked if it was all done using psychology, psychic powers, or magic tricks. Then folks are asked why they think what they think. It's surprising what folks decide on despite being told exactly what's going on before the demonstration begins. Remember experience doesn't always equal truth and seeing isn't always believing because sometimes we can misinterpret the data in front of us!
